According to local belief, it
was the great saint Kapil Muni who installed the lord Shiva Linga here that’s
why the name of this lord Shiva became Kapileshwar Baba (Mahadev)
According to some other
believe, while returning from Sri Ram Vivah (Lord Rama), saint kapil muni was
very much impressed with the Location (where Is Kapileshwar sthan now) And decided
to install the lord Shiva.
